Field Trip-
On Monday December 17 we are going on a field trip to the Biosphere. The trip will be an all day so please bring bag lunches that day. MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR FIELD TRIP FORMS TURNED IN!!! Each child needs to pay $10 for the field trip, make sure they bring that in with them.

Winter Break
December 19th is a half day as well as the last day of this quarter. Students will be receiving report cards on that day, no earlier so make sure they will be there on that day. Winter break begins the next day and continue until January 3rd.

FIELD TRIP- we have a field trip coming up on the 17th of December to the Biosphere please make sure that you sign your students field trip form as soon as possible and get those returned to me with the money otherwise they may not be able to go. The field trip will last from 845 until 315 so please make sure your student is on time that day to school and brings a bag lunch to eat. Volunteers are welcome as well as needed on this trip so if you would like to volunteer to come along please contact me.

Important Events - Harvest Feast, Thanksgiving Break
Harvest Feast- Every year La Paloma has a feast right before Thanksgiving Break with lots of turkey, pie, stuffing and all other good foods. Sixth graders are responsible for donating money to help buy turkeys and supplies for that day. If every student could please do their best to donate 1 dollar to help buy food for this event it would be very helpful.
Thanksgiving Break- We have no school from Tuesday 21 - Friday 23, enjoy the break!

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!- Parents we need a few more volunteers to please sign up to help us at our booth this year. My class has been given the dunk tank to run this year and while we do not need volunteers to take the plunge we do need people to help collect tickets and give out the rewards. Please let me know ASAP if you are able to help with this.

CANDY- The school does need more candy to give out for its Harvest Festival, right now the winning class gets an Eegee party and our class sadly has not gotten much candy given to us to hand out. Please donate some candy so we have plenty of goodies to hand out at the Harvest Fest

Welcome Back Students, 

   Welcome everyone to 6th grade in Mr. Boice's class I am excited to have all of you in my class this year. Parents this blog is a place to come view what is happening each week in class as well as any reminders on important upcoming events. This blog will also have weekly spelling words in case your child forgets to write them down. 

Reminders- 
Make sure supplies are brought into school, students will need to be prepared each day for class and without supplies they will not be. 
Also remember to turn in the parent contact form that was sent out the first week. I  will be sending out a mass email to everyone whose email account I have. Please use this as the main way of contacting me.

AIMS TESTING IS DONE!!
Congratulations to all of my sixth grade students for successfully completing the AIMS test.
Every one of you did a great job of being here each day on time and doing your best on the test, can't wait
to see how well everyone did on the test.

This week is Spirit Week with things happening each day

Tuesday- PJ day
Wednesday - Jersey Day with walk a thon and jump-a-thon.
Thursday- Dress as your favorite character or career you want to be.
Friday- Wear red or pink

Please remember next week on Tuesday there is a half day of school with no after school or lunch students need to be picked up at 1130. This is the last little stretch here before AIMS please make sure students are showing up to school on a regular basis, they will miss vital information if they are gone. Students also need to be remembering to bring a pencil, pen and supplies from home as well we are running low as a class.
